National Study: Current Trends in IECMHC

Across the country, thought leaders, reflective supervisors, researchers, and mental health consultants, themselves, are noticing they are increasingly holding consultees’ personal stress and trauma alongside their traditional child-, classroom-, and program-focused consultation.

Indigo Cultural Center is leading a national study to understand how these changes are shaping consultants’ practice and identify the supports needed to sustain them in this vital work.

In March 2026, we will hold a virtual gathering for the entire IECMHC field. We will discuss study findings, exchange ideas, and shape the next generation of consultation practice.
